Reworking CrochetCompleted in Year 2026
Reworking Crochet is my final-year project for LASALLE BA Honours, Design Communication. The main direction of the brief was advocacy and community design. This project uses participatory methods to provoke engagement for feminist discourse amongst diverse Singaporean youths aged 18 to 29, reframing crochet into a medium and an entry point to engage politically cautious Singaporeans with feminism, empowering Singaporean youths to challenge socially gendered norms and advocate for social change in Singapore.

This was accompanied by research conducted in the first half of the semester. The publication shown below was completed to narrow down the direction for semester 2.
The publication showcased discussions surrounding craftivism as an alternative to confrontational activism and the discussions surrounding it.
